PEXCO Announces Another Expansion
Atlanta-based Pexco has announced its ninth acquisition since 2018. The company, which extrudes and injection-molds a variety of plastic products, announced in December 2021 that it would acquire Performance Elastomers Corp (PEC.) PEC is headquartered near Akron, Ohio, and is known for making both dense and sponge elastomer products. Many of PEC’s materials find applications in recreational vehicles, automotive aftermarket products, marine and other heavy equipment. Pexco CEO, Sam Patel, described the acquisition as a path for the company to “broad[en] its capabilities to include other high-performance polymer solutions to deliver even greater value to our customers in the mobility, recreational vehicle and truck aftermarkets as well as expand into applications within other industries."
