Hoffman Neopac Opens 37,000 Square Foot Facility for Small Diameter Tubes
The swiss packaging company, Hoffman Neopac, plans to open a 37,000 square foot facility to extrude two small diameter tubes made from polypropylene and aluminum. These two materials blend together to form the company’s patented Polyfoil material. One plastic tube will be manufactured as a tamper evident nozzle for eye drops, disinfectant solutions, creams, or gels. The other plastic tube will be used for the Twist’n’use which is a single use solution for pharmaceutical applications.

Pexco Acquires Insultab Inc - a Heat Shrinkable and Non Shrink Tubing Manufacturer
In order to reach new markets and continue its growth, Pexco has acquired Insultab Inc – a heat shrinkable and non shrink extruded tubing manufacturer. Insultab was established in 1953, but by 1964 its heat shrinkable manufacturing business was booming. With 65 years of experience in heat shrinkable and non heat shrink tubing manufacturing, Insultab was a key move for Pexco as their customer base continues to diversify and require new services. Insultab’s facility features multiple extrusion lines and custom expanders housed within a 50,000 square feet facility located in Woburn, MA.
