Pexco Continues Acquisition Strategy
Pexco LLC recently announced the acquisition of Greensboro, North Carolina’s Exlon Extrusion, Inc. This acquisition will add a variety of speciality tubing and hoses made from nylon, polypropylene, polyurethane, and polyethylene to Pexco’s growing line of products. Pexco CEO Sam Patel stated “The addition of Exlon’s personnel, equipment and relationships will provide valuable resources as we continue to demonstrate our proficiency with products that require higher-grade raw materials for niche applications.” This acquisition follows NDM Marking Systems in January of this year as well as HPE Extrusion Solutions, American Extruded Plastics and American Injection Molding all in August of 2019.

Flying W Plastics Plans Expansion into Jacksonville Florida
Flying W Plastics Inc. plans to add at least 28 jobs and estimates more than $8 million in investment to improve the manufacturing site according to the city Office of Economic Development. The company is asking for $100,000 in funding from the Northwest Jacksonville Economic Development Fund. The manufacturing capacity created by this move would likely expand the company’s production of pipe for oil, gas, municipal water and conduit applications. The building is reported to have a footprint of more than 150,000 square feet sitting on nearly 7.5 acres.
