- Holder of 37 patents, 14 as the primary inventor.
- Development of Ziploc Freshield products - Developed an improved resin blend that resulted in new Marketing Claims and improved product performance.
- Development of Ziploc Double Zipper Product - Led consumer testing and development of the Double Zipper Product. Developed a new extrusion process for enabling high speed extrusion on all lines. Led R&D team on the implementation and start up.
- Instrumental in developing Ziploc Big Bag Product - Worked with contract manufacturer and developed product and extrusion process for unique double zipper used on Ziploc Big Bags.
- Instrumental in developing Ziploc EZ Zipper Process - Worked with contract manufacturer to troubleshoot zipper issues. Worked on a team to develop a high speed zipper extrusion process. Developed a high speed lamination extrusion process for attaching zippers to film.
- Provided key support in the design and construction of $50M cleaners production plant - Managed the specification, purchase, installation, and startup of several unit operations including resin handling, blow molding, trimming, filling and case packing.
- Enabled high speed production at low capital costs to support new product launches by designing and implementing improved extrusion production processes.
- Contract Manufacturing Support – Started up a high speed cast film line with an integrated printer. Worked on the team that later relocated the line to an SC Johnson location implementing several process improvements.
- Researched and identified new technologies within Liquids Filling, including bottle making and bottle handling; consulted on all new equipment purchases and installation.
- Implemented incremental improvements in OEE for several high-value production lines.
- Key contributor on several sustainable product projects, including the launch of Ziploc Evolve and Ziploc compostable bags developed from compostable and renewable materials.
- Created and established best production practices and SOPs to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Served as project leader in the Home Storage sector on resin handling, extrusion, film handling, thermoforming, injection molding, bag sealing, packaging and scrap handling/reclamation.
- Facilitated the R&D team involved in launching Chiploc bags, Purchased mainly used equipment, I led installation, startup and support of zipper extrusion, winding and bag sealing equipment in the Market Development Plant.
