Australian Pipe Manufacturer to Release Revolutionary Mobile Pipe Extruder
Polyline Pipe Systems, a Perth-based plastic pipe manufacturer, has released a revolutionary "mobile pipe extruder". They have already secured a mining client who says the technology has already significantly reduced transportation costs. The existing supply chain involves manufacturing pipes in the city and transporting them to the site. Polyline's patented system cuts out the transportation step entirely, being able to produce HDPE pipe and extrude it all on site. Their first use of this technology came in quarter one of 2022 where Polyline was able to produce 8.3 km of HDPE pipe for their client, Vimy Resources to connect a raw water source to the company's processing plant. Vimy has praised the new technology, citing its drastically reduced transportation cost in addition to the new technology minimizing potential failure points and necessary welding.
