Braid and Coil Reinforced Polyimide Tubing
.Polyimide is a thermoset polymer that are ideal for high-performance medical applications including chemical resistance, excellent thermal stability, and high tensile strength.  These properties of the material result in a tubing that is lightweight, highly resistant to heat and chemical issues and sufficiently flexible enough to be inserted as a medical catheter while exhibiting important kick resistance.  All polyimide tubing is made by extrusion.  Typical medical applications for polyimide tubing include neurovascular and cardiovascular catheters,  balloon angioplasty, stent delivery, intravascular drug delivery and urological retrieval devices.  Braid and coil reinforced versions of polyimide tubing are also available with an even greater range of medical applications.  There are many polyimide tubing manufacturers worldwide.
