Conair Debuts PipeMaster MBC Series Haul-Off
Conair Debuts PipeMaster MBC Series Haul-Off
Conair’s new PipeMaster MBC Series haul-off offers powerful pulling solutions for pipe extrusion lines. Models can handle pipe from 2.5 to 24.9 in. in diameter and pull with torques from 1,500 lbs to 12,500 lbs. Models have either two, three, four, six, or eight drive belts based on pipe diameter to ensure that pulling is uniformly distributed and distortion-free pressure is maintained on the pipe’s circumference. Pulling speeds are adjustable depending on pipe size and range from 0.66 to 82 ft/min. The machines are managed using a touchscreen mounted at eye-level that provides convenient access to speed control, stored recipes, and alarms, in addition to communication with measurement systems, cutters, and extruders. Atkore Expands South Carolina Operations
Atkore is poised to expand their South Carolina extrusion plant with a $7.7 million investment. The expansion is set to take place during the next five years and will add 20 new jobs. The facility will add extrusion lines to produce high density polyethylene conduits for the telecommunications, infrastructure, utility, and communications markets. This project will help increase access to 5G, highspeed broadband access in rural communities. Allendale County, the county Atkore’s facility is in, is receiving a $100,000 grant from the Rural Infrastructure Fund of the Coordinating Council for Economic Development to cover the costs of building improvements.
