Mid South Extrusion is Investing $4.9 Million To Expand Its Facility
Mid South Extrusion, a company that manufactures polyethylene film for food packaging is investing in a new $4.9 million blown film line at its facility in Monroe, LA. This new film line will not only help grow their own company by providing eight more jobs, but it will also help grow their target market. Plastics is in an industry that is high in demand and with this new line it will help with the increasing demand for food packaging. They have a goal that by the end of this year, they will have the blown film line in use. Since this family-owned company was founded in 1986, they have grown their establishment from a 17,000 square foot space with four employees to a 215,000 square-foot facility with about 200 employees.

Ipex Expanding Pipe Extruding Capacity at Three US Plants
Ontario-based Ipex Group is expanding the pipe manufacturing capacity of their plants in Asheville North Carolina, Lawton, Oklahoma, and Fort Pierce, Florida. The company is adding a total of 28 new production lines that with high-speed extrusion technology in addition to other high-efficiency and automated features. Ipex CEO, Alex Mestres mentions that the new lines will allow the company to keep its high production and standards in addition to allowing for the manufacturer to deliver new, innovative products. The new production lines will add many new jobs and are expected to be operational from later this year to early 2024. Read more here.
